Another art museum with a focus on 20th and 21st century art, at the Whitney you’re most likely to find works by artists that are still living. There are many different types of art and it is often considered a popular venue for lesser-known artists looking to get their big break in the art world.
5. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum
A fun museum to visit, the wax museum is a place to go with kids or friends. You tour the museum and view a number of very life-like wax sculptures depicting famous people, whether they are current celebrities or people from history. Some of the more popular figures available for viewing include Robert Pattison, star of the Twilight movies, Barack Obama, Martin Luther King, Taylor Swift, Elvis Presley, Princess Diana, JFK, Derek Jeter, and Simon Cowell, among many others.
